Logical Reasoning measures the ability to reach logical conclusions. The test can be used in selection procedures, especially for job positions where it is important that judgements and correct conclusions are drawn from verbal information.
The tasks consist of syllogisms: two statements and a conclusion. The aim is to assess the validity of the conclusion on the basis of what is stated in the two statements.
Logical Reasoning Example
This verbal test is specifically relevant for job positions in which (complex) texts and spoken words must be understood. Think of lawyers, policy makers and journalists. As it also relies on general intelligence it is also relevant for all job positions where abstract reasoning ability plays a major role.
